Hey there,
This past week I ran a special, private version of my offers masterclass for Teachable. They organized a cohort of their customers who needed help with their digital offers.
It was a group of service providers who, somewhere along the way, confused themselves as being creators. And so for the past 12+ months, they’d been pouring their expertise into online courses, digital assessments, and toolkits but nobody was buying.
It was a painful contrast to how well their premium coaching, consulting, and training services had landed when delivered live.
I recognized the misstep instantly because I’d made it too.
Their goals were to grow revenue and scale, but instead of leaning into the trust-building moments that sell without selling, they outsourced their first touch points to digital products.
What they thought was leverage was actually a wall between them and their prospects.
It reminded me of the trap I fell into while trying to grow my first two businesses…
