Closing the books on 2024

🪜 With gratitude and big plans for 2025...

Hey there,

As we wrap up the year, I want to take a moment to reflect—and to thank you.

Whether you’ve been here from the start or just joined, your trust and attention mean the world to me. It’s been an honor to have your support and to serve you along the way.

I launched Profit Ladder toward the tail end of 2023, so 2024 was really my first full year in business. And wow—what a year. Here are a few standouts that came with lessons I think you’ll appreciate:

1. Optimizing & automating social media

I spent a lot of time on LinkedIn this year (and prior), and I’ve been honest: it’s my least favorite job. The constant hustle, the noise of “How I made $1B in 1 week” posts, and all the toxic positivity. It’s exhausting.

This year, I worked with brilliant people who helped me rethink content creation, automation, and audience building. In 2025, I’ll launch systems to reclaim that time and energy—and make everything else I create even more valuable.

P.S. I’ll share those systems with you so you can adapt them for your business.

2. Dogfooding my own process

Earlier this year, I launched the DIY toolkit Productizer Co-Pilot to help business owners create their own productized offers. While it was a great starting point that helped me clarify my thinking, tools, and positioning, I wasn’t fully following my own Reverse Flywheel method.

To deepen my mastery, refine my frameworks, I shifted to a done-with-you program, Profit Accelerator. Once I’ve worked in the trenches with 100 clients, I’ll productize this program—scaling my reach, revenue, and impact even further.

3. Honing my mission

Before Profit Ladder, it was Passive Profits. But I rebranded to distance myself from the snake-oily world of rags-to-riches “passive income” scams.

Yes, my systems help you generate semi-passive revenue and free yourself from the sales grind. But my mission is much bigger: to help you—and 100,000 other business owners—build businesses that let you do your best work without burning out.

4. From first love to case study

If we just met, you might not know that Profit Ladder is my second business. My first, New Haircut, launched in 2010.

I continued to serve New Haircut clients throughout 2024. But as of October, I’m all in on Profit Ladder. New Haircut will continue to exist, but only as an autonomous flywheel. It’s become my unshakable proof that you can create offers that market and sell for you—an engine that generates profits and gives you the freedom to pour into your highest purpose work.

What do my reflections spark for you? Any aha moments?

What’s coming in 2025

If 2024 set the stage, 2025 will turn up the volume. Here’s what I’m most excited about:

1. Access my systems for free

I’m launching live monthly masterclasses to help you launch scalable offers that grow your pipeline, profits, and purpose. The first one is January 15-16.

2. New formats

I wrote nearly 68,000 words across 71 newsletter issues this year.

In 2025, I’ll shift to audio and video—podcasts, YouTube, and guest experts to help you dive deeper into key topics: personal branding, audience building, storytelling, content strategy, social media, direct response marketing, automations, AI, and lots more.

If there are specific topics you’d like me to consider—hit reply and let me know. Your input fuels my focus.

3. Streamlining offer development

Creating offers that market and sell on autopilot takes work! Today, I’m able to help you choose the right offers and build them the right way.

In 2025, I’m further systematizing my frameworks so you can get your offers to market faster, with less manual work and no compromise on quality.

This is gonna be huge. Stay tuned.

A final thanks

After today, I’ll close the lid on my Macbook, remove all non-essential apps from my phone, and not do a stitch of work until January 2nd. I’ll take some well-deserved time off. I can only hope you get to do something similar.

With that, let’s close out 2024 strong.

Thank you for opening my emails, writing me thank you notes, and trusting me to help you grow—your business, but hopefully your head and heart, too.

You’ve made this year unforgettable. I couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead.

Here’s to an abundant 2025—together.

With love,

Jay Melone
